Bikaner, the land of royalty, situated in Northern Rajasthan is known for its magnificent forts and palaces, mesmerizing sand dunes, glorious culture and tradition, hospitality, affability of the people and also for the flavor some, delectable sweets, snacks and savoury.

It was in 1887, the then Maharaja of Bikaner state, Shri Dungar Singhji ordered that a special variety of namkeens must be prepared and served to the royal guests. A snack named ‘Dungar Shahi Bhujia’ was made and presented to his Highness who appreciated and enjoyed it. Soon, Bhujia became the trademark dish of Bikaner and its manufacturing became the livelihood of many families. With time, Bhujia production gained momentum and emerged as a strong segment in the food industry.

The authentic taste of Bikaneri Bhujia and Snacks that royal families relished for ages was inherited and offered to people by Bikaji Foods International Ltd., the leading manufacturers and exporters of Indian Savoury & Sweets as its flagship brand Bikaji.

Established in 1987, by a visionary entrepreneur Mr. Shivratan Agarwal, Bikaji Foods International Ltd. set out on its journey to serve the delicious tastes of Bikaner by manufacturing the now-famous Bhujia, Namkeen, Papad, Snacks and Sweets. It was under his able leadership that unorganized manufacturing of Bhujia transformed as an organized sector and grew to be an industry in itself.

In 1992, Bikaji Foods International Ltd. was conferred the National Award for Industrial Excellence. It was the first company to receive an honour in the category of food products. The company was the first to introduce colour packaging and automated manufacturing process.

Today, Bikaji exports its products to over 30 major American, Gulf and European Countries, Australia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. The company has recorded highest production of Bikaneri Bhujia in India at 70 Tons per day. Besides geographical expansion, the company has also forayed into modern trade along with opening of Bikaji Retail Showrooms across the nation.

Bikaji is also ready to delight the palates, with an exciting new range of Ready-to-Eat, Frozen Snacks & Sweets, Extruded Snacks, offering the true taste of tradition!
