We, Modern Insulators Limited are manufacturers of Porcelain
Insulators in India. Our plant has been setup in technical collaboration with M/s. Siemens AG, Germany for manufacturing Porcelain
Insulators for applications up to 800 KV. Our annual capacity is 20000 MT.
Annual sales turnover exceeds USD 51 Million in which Export
Turnover is around USD 24 Million Company has been conferred the Top Export
Award for 4 years in succession by Ministry of Commerce, GOI (For the year
2004-5,2005-6,2006-7,2007-8) Plans to expand existing capacity up 25000 MT in
near future.
Our company has biggest insulator manufacturing capacity all over
the world at the single location. Customers include world leaders in Switchgear
Industry viz. ABB, Alstom, Siemens,
Trench (Siemens), etc.
It was set up in 1985 in technical collaboration with Siemens AG,
Germany, for manufacture of Aluminous High Voltage Porcelain Insulators. MIL,
now is one of the largest exporters in the country & has been honoured with
various Export Awards from Ministry of Commerce consecutively for four years.
MIL manufactures Porcelain Insulators from 33KV to 1200 KV.

categories are:
Solid core post insulators for Disconnectors and Substation requirements.
Hollow insulators for SF6 Circuit Breakers, Lightning Arrestors and
Instruments Transformers, CT, CVT & PT.
Longrod insulators for Overhead Transmission Lines.
Railway Insulators.
Line post Insulators for Distribution Segment.
Mil has established a
state of the art laboratory with following major facilities:-
1. Polarized microscope with Nomarski illumination.
2. Low speed cutting & polishing for micro structural
analysis
3. X-ray mass adsorption p.s. analyzer
4. Computerized dilatometer.
5. Computerized chemical balance.
6. Programmable precision universal testing machine
Already exporting regularly insulators for 400 KV applications to
Europe and many other countries.
